         What ABSI is about

         Acts 1:21-25

"Wherefore of these men which have companied with us all the time

that the Lord Jesus went in and out among us, Beginning from the

baptism of John, unto that same day that he was taken up from us, must

one be ordained to be a witness with us of his resurrection... That he may

take part of this ministry and apostleship..."

The ABSI is a system of training pastors that involves a series of carefully thought out
         informal
small group teaching modules, individualized mentoring relationships, training
         camps, practical
hands-on ministry experience and an online coursework with
         examinations.

The ABSI is suitable for people who believe they have a calling to be pastors but do not
     y
et have the freedom to pursue a Bible School program on a fulltime basis.

Each student in ABSI accrues points based on his or her personal spiritual status,
leadership roles in the church, actual churchwork experiences, examinations passed
     under ABSO, part
icipation in training camps, etc (ABSO stands for Anagkazo Bible
     School for Online and
Distance Learning. All ABSI students must be enrolled on ABSO
     to pursue t
he Advanced Ministers Diploma, AMD).

Additionally, a student must receive a spiritually subjective recommendation from the
Senior Minister or Bishop who has trained him and knows him well before he can be
         appointed as a pastor.

The total points accumulated by a student, referred to as the Total Pastoral Points, is
     po
sted on each student's profile page for all to see. The Total Pastoral Points determines
the student's eligibility for pastoral appointment. The minimum points needed for
pastoral appointment currently stands at 700.
